They do NOT work on any true OBDII system, even though some use an OBDII *style* connector. If you've retrofit an OBDI system in to a OBDII car - we're good... if you're working on another style of retrofit (truck, street rod, etc) then we need to make sure that our wires line up. See the "Technical Info". RS232 cables are based on the MAX232ECPE (Electro-static-discharge resistant) interface chip, and is fully RS232 compliant. USB cables are based on the FTDI FT232BM interface chip.
